My Thoughts on HTML and CSS

When we first started HTML I felt very overwhelmed and confused. It was as if I were learning another language. Once I started to get the hang of HTML I was introduced to CSS. Up until CSS I found myself knowing the basic concept of HTML, but I felt like I did not have a complete understanding. Cascading Style Sheets threw me into a deeper confusion at first. They were a bit puzzling and hard to comprehend. After working with them I realized that it was a fairly simple concept, which I am still trying to get then hang of. I still feel a bit confused over both HTML and CSS, and feel I am trying to learn too many things in a short period of time. Although I have learned a lot, I feel that trying to absorb all of this information at a fast pace may lead me to forgetting much of it very quickly. It has now been 5 weeks we have been working on this, and never would I have guessed that I would know as much as I currently do, 5 weeks ago. Although I have learned a lot, I believe I would absorb more if I were to learn it at a slower pace. If I could have prepared differently for the first few weeks I would not have changed much other then studying the fundamentals of HTML much more.
